The Aim
Our purpose in this conference is not to promote Bonaire First Baptist. We are hosting this as a ministry to other churches and the community of Central Georgia. The reason we are sponsoring this event is two-fold:
- It is to promote Intelligent Design as an apologetic for the Christian faith. I understand that belief in a personal Creator is not the same as faith in Jesus Christ. However, in our world it is a solid starting point for evangelism forthe lost and assurance for the believer.
- We are concerned for our young people. Recently, we have seen the statistics of steep decline in church attendance for college-age kids. This crosses church and denominational lines. Part of the problem is the teaching of materialistic Darwinism which is taught as scientific fact. Intelligent Design makes a strong case that this view is not the best conclusion of the scientific evidence.
