Let the elders who rule well be considered worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in preaching and teaching
1 Timothy 5:17, ESV
June is a time for us to focus on retired ministers, workers, and their widows, many living at or near poverty, who are assisted each month through the Mission: Dignity ministry. These 1800 households of SBC served small, rural churches with meager salaries and little, if any, retirement contributions. Today they struggle to pay for food, utilities, medications, and other necessities. Furthermore, the uncertainty of the Covid-19 pandemic makes this assistance more critical than ever before. You and your family can be Christ’s arms extended to these faithful men and women who dedicated their lives to the gospel ministry. June 27th is Mission: Dignity Sunday across the SBC. One hundred percent of the funding each recipient receives comes from churches like ours, so we need to help raise awareness for this important one day giving event. If you would like to contribute to these faithful servants during the month of June, please make your checks payable to BFBC and put Mission: Dignity on the memo line. To donate online anytime, or for more information, go to missiondignity.org. Thank you for honoring God’s faithful servants who now find themselves in financial need. Most importantly, please be in prayer for this important ministry.
